MAST – Monday Afternoon Sail Training

Guidelines – Information and Expectations

MAST:

If you are wanting extra support with your sailing techniques, a relaxing sail, or are wanting to improve your racing results MAST is for you!

Open to all ages and classes of dinghies

Term 3 - $50 please register online and pay in advance, bring your own boat or hire (by approval) Seperate link for term payment. 

Participants can register and pay each week. Though most find paying a full term at once easier.

Those  haven't paid the term in full will be issued with  an inovice each week. 

Opportunity for sailors to spend time on the water with a safety boat and instructor

Regular attendance for each term (10 sessions) is recommended and will benefit sailors sailing ability.

Junior racing squad further developing their skills, maintaining a focus on race techniques;

 Sessions are structured depending on attendance numbers and sailing ability;

All sessions will adhere to Australian Sailing, Townsville Sailing Club and COVID safety guidelines;

MAST Program (times may vary)

1530   Arrive and commence rigging boats;

1600   Quick warmup/exercise/games;

1630   Briefing with Paco;

1700   On-water training until sunset;

1830   Off water, de-rigging, debrief.

Parents/Carers Assistance

Assistance is appreciated with all aspects of MAST.  There are many different areas to help in, such as beach marshal, safety boat, canteen, rigging and de-rigging.  Many hands make light work!
