Start Sailing 1 is a course designed for complete beginners aged over 13 years old with adequate swimming ability. The course is part theory and mostly practical on the water exercises.

The course cost includes all sailing and safety equipment, as well as 3 months membership with Townsville Sailing Club, which enables students to hire club boats and practice the skills they have learnt.

Start Sailing is a weekend course, running over two consecutive days. Please ensure you have sun protective clothing, reef shoes, towel, hat and sunglasses.

The cost of this course is $300 per participant, this includes a log book and 3 months introductory membership to Townsville Sailing Club.  To register for Start sailing Level 2, please email us.
