STAR - Sunday Training and Racing

Pacer race training for Teens and Adults

Additional training and sailing in Club Pacers for those interested in developing skills and training together.  To bridge the gap from start sailing to racing/confidence to participate in club events, and to have fun on the water!

Held on the morning before the next 4 club race days 9am - 12 noon,  PRE REGISTRATION is preferred.

 COVID restriction will apply, instructors and volunteers will be briefed.

$30 per person per session

Or register for all 4 sessions, at a reduced rate of $80 total.

Includes Pacer hire and coaching/per session.

 Prerequisites:

Completed at least level 1 Discover Sailing course or have an equivalent level of experience.

Recommended age group: 13 years and over

Sailors will need to be self-motivated and competent swimmers

This will not be a formalized course however will follow a race development/coaching program with a focus on boat handling (helming and crewing skills) maintenance and boat care.

Each week will have a focus topic led by youth instructors, assisted by experienced club volunteers, participants are welcome to assist with racing in the afternoon.
