Townsville Sailing Club is an accredited Australian Sailing Centre, with experienced, award-winning Instructors.

Our clubhouse and sailing grounds are a perfect location to learn to sail. Our waters are largely protected by the Breakwater Marina & "the Duckpond", ideal for beginners through to advanced sailors.

Discover Sailing dinghy courses are run on 2 person Pacer Sailing dinghies, ideal for adults and teens.

If our classes are full or you have any questions, please CONTACT US

Once you have learned the basics, join us for Sunday sailing, adventure sails or have a go at racing.  Race training programs are held throughout the year.

Get the most from your 3-month club membership which is included in your Start Sailing course fees by coming to practice on Sunday mornings.  Please follow our facebook page for any changes to Sunday sailing, due to tides or regattas.

Club volunteers, with a safety boat on the water, are available every Sunday morning during the sailing season.

Sundays - 09:00 am to 12:00 pm

Boat hire fees apply: Optimist $5, Sabot $10, Pacer $30, Laser $25

Boat bookings for Sunday morning sailing can be by emailing the club during the week.
